Action4Youth offers FREE water sports at IWA Festival of Water this Bank Holiday Weekend

Action4Youth’s Caldecotte Xperience will be at the Inland Waterways Association (IWA) Festival of Water in St Neots this Bank Holiday weekend, offering free kayaking and paddle boarding activities to anyone who wants to try them out and have some fun.

The outdoor education centre, based on Caldecotte Lake in Milton Keynes, offers a range of 20 land and water based adventure activities and will be talking to festival-goers about the range of facilities and programmes available to all young people, through their schools.

Caldecotte Xperience is the region’s leading location for outdoor learning and education and offers individually bespoke, curriculum focussed, day and residential courses for both primary and secondary schools and includes some of the best facilities for those with additional needs. It is also one of the UK’s first centres to provide local schools with the facilities and skills they need to obtain Individual Practical Performance units for a GCSE in PE, through water sports and climbing.

The IWA Festival of Water brings a free family day out offering attractions both on and off the water. Many boats attend, including leisure, trade, heritage and working narrow boats and a wide range of craft stalls, music, entertainment and activities for children to ensure fun is had by all.

Nick Lund, Development Director at Action4Youth explains: “We are looking forward to sharing the adventure and excitement of water sports with families at the IWA Festival of Water as well as introducing them to the opportunities and activities available at Action4Youth’s Caldecotte Xperience.”
