What an Amazing Summer at Action4Youth!
Here’s our team celebrating the end of our summer season, and what a season it’s been! Over 3,000 young people have joined us for new and unforgettable adventures, and our team couldn’t be prouder or happier. They are now raring to go again and gearing up for an incredible autumn, ready to deliver more enriching experiences. You can find out more about our activity programmes by clicking below.
Exciting News – Check out our New Power Boat!
One of the highlights for the young people who visit us is getting out on the water in a powerboat – for most, it’s their very first time. But our old boat had seen so much action that it needed inflating twice a day!
A MASSIVE thank you to Mazars Charitable Trust for your very generous donation to make this new purchase possible. Your support helps us continue to provide enriching experiences for so many young people.

Watching Confidence Soar at the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Programme!
The HAF programme is all about giving young people a space to grow, learn new skills, and boost their confidence.
This summer, Michael took part in the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme at The Junction Youth Centre. Shy at first, Michael left the programme with newfound confidence, skills, and a huge smile! Michael’s favourite spot was the music studio. Though he was reserved at first, soon he was creating his own track, fully embracing his creative side.
One evening, he even asked to learn how to play pool – and with a little encouragement, he was nailing it. By the end of the HAF programme, Michael was leading, creating, and connecting with everyone around him. His journey is exactly why the HAF programme exists: to help young people find their confidence, explore new interests, and shine!
Keep an eye out on our website for new dates to be published soon.

“I’ve been a trustee for this wonderful charity for the last year, and am delighted to now become the Chairman. I look forward to continuing to work with Jenifer and the A4Y team to transform children’s lives for the better.”
Jenifer Cameron, our CEO, says:
“As David Teasdale steps down as Action4Youth’s Chair after 5 successful years, we are all delighted to welcome Alastair Douglas to the role. Alastair brings a wealth of experience and we are excited as he leads us into the coming years.”
Recent Duke of Edinburgh Expedition
This past weekend, students from Edgbarrow School took on a challenge as they completed their Silver Expedition for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award! Exploring the scenic Great Ouse, these young adventurers worked as a team and developed lifelong skills.
Action4Youth delivers all three levels of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to build confidence, leadership, and skills for life.
Highlight of the Month
Renovations underway at The Caldotte Xperience!
After months of hard work raising funds, our project to completely renovate the main building at The Caldecotte Xperience is underway. We are looking forward to having a completely accessible, warm, bright, welcoming building with a large indoor space for mealtimes, recreation, learning and evening entertainment which will enhance the experience for visitors all year round from next April. For now, the rest of the site is fully open for day visits and residentials in our very special yurt villages. See more here Outdoor Learning Activity Courses for Schools | Caldecotte
We still need help to raise the money to complete this project. Help us here Building For A Better Future | Action4Youth Appeal
