Action4Youth News – July 2024

Last month, Paul joined The Armed Force Day in High Wycombe. It was a great opportunity to connect with our community and support such a meaningful event.
Thank you to everyone who made the day so special!

With the Summer fast approaching, it is time for our programme managers to say goodbye to their students and celebrate their achievements.

Action4Youth has worked with NCS since 2010, delivering the life-changing experience for young people in SE England. Designed for 16-17 year olds, NCS is a youth programme running throughout the year, building skills, providing challenge and life experience. The experience is all about emboldening young people, giving them an experience of discovering what life may involve without all the responsibility.

From First Aid course to Financial challenge and cooking competition, the experience is all about emboldening young people, giving them an experience of discovering what life may involve, without all the responsibility.

Highlight of the Month

We are delighted to have received a grant from Aylesbury Town Council to support our mentoring work in Aylesbury. This valuable contribution will help us to benefit more vulnerable young people from the local area. Thank you Aylesbury Town Council

Our partners and fundraisers were very busy this month organising amazing events to raise much needed funds for Action4Youth. Here’s what happened:
Fabulous Golf and Yoga day at Harleyford Golf Club with our corporate supporters Blaser Mills Law, where Action4Youth was the chosen charity.

A big thank you, Blaser Mills Law Firm, for your support and partnership throughout 2024. They managed to raise £2,320!

Our strategic partner NHBC took part in The 3 Peaks Challenge last week, raising more than £1,700 for us. Lucy and Emma completed it in an impressive 12 hours 30 minutes, and walked 26.8 miles doing around 57,000 steps each. Alison was the FIRST female back with a whooping time of 9 hours 23 minutes. Thank you to Emma, Alison and Lucy, what a great achievement!

The NHBC Senior Leadership team also volunteered their time at The Caldecotte Xperience last week, getting stuck into the renovations and refurbishment of our watersport building. Thanks to Steve, Paul, Peter, Kim, Craig and David for joining and doing such a great job!

Our supporters Redway Runners had their annual Redway Runners Furzton Relay this weekend. With over 200 participants of all ages, the event was a great success! Thanks to Leanne for a well organised event!

Lastly, our supporters Ringway had a volunteer day at The Caldecotte Xperience to help tidy up the garden area. A huge Thank you to Mike, Max and Andy for doing such a great job!
